Six Days of Horror! Happy Halloween from Dark Future Games

Hey its Wolfson bringing you the 6th and final Day of Horror with a DFG inspired Jack o lantern.
I knew a few days ago that I wanted to make one of the pumpkins I was carving for an epic halloween costume party on Sat night, to be something Warhammer related so I asked OST what he thought. Being the chaotic, murdering maniac-at-heart that he is, he quickly pointed me to our DFG banner.

Six Days of Horror! Day 3: Our Scariest Work! 2009-2011

Old School here continuing our Six Days of Horror with the scariest conversions, paint jobs commissions and projects DFG has ever produced. When I started this series, I really wanted to experiment with ways to give people out there credit for their work and to highlight some really evil modelling ... but we have never really posted anything that links back to our work and I have to say, looking back over the last three years, we have some pretty evil stuff of our own, so let's take a trip through the scariest stuff we have produced today through the magic of photos and links!

Old School here to usher in our celebration of Halloween, which we will celebrate over the next six days (in celebration of Slaanesh, without whom, the Ecstasy of fear would be denied to us) and appropriately, today, we have 16 photos of the sexiest Slaaneshi army I have ever seen! Let's take a look!

Hunting the Fallen and a Mini "It Came from the Forums" post!

Old School here and I am planning my next modelling move as I continue to paint the Death Wing. I plan to make objective markers for the army using Fallen Angels in various action poses. But first, I hit the internet and the bitz market for a little inspiration ...

End of Days FAQ 2.15

End of Days tournament FAQ

This FAQ is designed to answer some of the basic questions that have come up since the announcement of the Tournament back in May. This FAQ is designed to supplement the current FAQ rulings available on Games Workshop’s Web site and of course the codices and Big Red Rulebook! Remember that the golden rule is to have fun and to make sure both you and your opponent are having a good time.
.
HOW DOES THIS WHOLE THING WORK? – TEAM QUESTIONS AND GENERAL END OF DAYS TOURNAMENT QUESTIONS

Observations from the table top: Space wolves

I've managed to get the wolves on the table top a few times and I'm really starting to see how people fall in love with this codex.  As a guard player this codex has a similar depth where every slot is viable and though you might not see much variation from the core of  grey hunter spam, ultimately, the lists you see has diversity.

I've played Logan wing, missile spam, razor spam, foot slogging grey hunters, bloodclaw death star, Nijal, Twolf spam and drop pod grey hunters.  They've all see success and failure and every single one was fun.

Ogre Iron Blaster Ready for War!

Old School here with my Iron Blaster! I have to say it again, these Ogre kits are just plain fun and while this thing at times had me cursing it's complex variety of textures, surfaces and colors, I ultimately had a ton of fun painting it. So let's walk around it and kick the tires.

Scibor Makes Ogres: Slaughter Master, Tyrant, Giant Beast! Also, a little slice of Orky Heaven!

Old School here to inform you of another GW alternative, this time for Ogre Kingdoms. It seems Scibor Miniatures is at it again and have brought forward three new offerings; a slaughter master, tyrant and some kind of Mournfang Monster! Let's take a look.

The Slaughter Master Armor Dilemma: What is an Iron Fist?

Old School here to talk a little Warhammer Fantasy with you. Tonight I want to crack open the debate on the Slaughter Master and the big issue that is sweeping the forums and to a lesser extent, the blogosphere (get with it bloggers, Fantasy is the shiz)! Let's take a look at both sides of the fence and then I will offer my lowly opinion ...

Warmachine: Beast 09 by CVinton

I just finished a gift to Vogrin, his beast 09 that he let me borrow for adepticon...and I kept for almost a year.  I'm not a huge fan of the static poses for warmachine and wanted to take the time to re pose him, but I had already had him for so long I think Vogrin would just prefer to get him back sooner than later.

Where Do You Stand on Codex: Necrons?

Alright, so we have already seen the pics by now and everyone is gearing up for what looks like an epic release. I am sure current Necron players are doing a special happy dance, but what about the rest of us? What do we think about several of the factors that will play into this release ...

End of Days updated FAQ!

We've gotten a few questions and were sorting out how the codexes released since the last end of days are fitting into the mix.  This list is the current EoD FAQ 2.0

Vampire Counts Work in Progress

Hey guys its Wolfson and im here to bring you an add on to Old Schools visit last weekend. OST has been furiously working on and gaming with his Ogres lately. He has had me as his opponent for all of these games and since i have a large fantasy collection he has had a chance to experience most of what is out there. My first army however and one i could never get rid of is my Vampire Counts. The recent visits from OST have driven me to update the models on this classic army and update some of the paint i had thrown down a long time ago.

First off any Vampire worth staking in this edition will tell you Grave Guard with great Weapons are worth every point you pay. I decided to start the updating by adding a huge unit at least 40 to my army. This could have been incredibly expensive but i raided my rather large fantasy bitz box and ended up with a ton of additional Empire and even some high elf models i could turn into Grave Guard. Here are some pics of portions of the unit.

I see a lot of VC armies that are either red or cold ghostly colors so i decided to go with purples for the Grave Guard as its still contrasts bone really well and plays on the the Vampire theme of vanity due to purple being a royal color.

It Came From the Forums: Lew-B81's Ogre and Chaos Conversions!

In this edition of It Came from the Forums, for the first time in this blog's history, we will be looking at Fantasy  and Blood Bowl exclusively! The artist, known as Lew-B81 on Warseer, has already been featured on GW's blog and in several other places in the blogosphere, but I really want to take this chance to look at the broad sweep of his Fantasy and Blood Bowl work, so let's start with my favorite: Ogre Kingdoms.

Ezekiel gets a new look! How I updated my favorite Librarian!

Old School here to present my updated Ezekiel model for my Dark Angels army. He has served me well and has seen combat with both my old Death WIng army and my new one. This model was originally painted a couple of years ago (check the photo directly below this top one). Big difference huh? Anyway, I love this model's pose and menacing look. He is above all my favorite power armoured librarian model. I have several shots of him, so let's take a look.

My Lead Belchers, Three Fat Fellows!

Old School here, returned from a weekend at Wolfson's house, where we hit the workbench pretty furiously. Aside from getting in a couple games of Fantasy with the Ogres, we managed to get a lot of work done paint-wise and I wanted to get a quick post out there for my Ogre Kingdoms lead belchers. These three jolly fellows came out pretty well, I think. Let's take a look at them.
