Jump Master's Challenge Painting Competition Winners!

Hello everyone Wolfson here to let you know who won the DropZone Games grand opening painting competition, the Jump Master Challenge and give you an up close and personal look at the amazing winning entries.  From left to right, Winner of the Large Model Category with his Grot Bomber Mark Ralley, Winner of the squad award as well as overall with the Cadian Command Squad Sam Richardson and Winner for single miniature Tom Halsup with his Croc Butcher.  Congratulations Gentlemen and lets take a look at some amazing pieces of art!

First up is Mark Ralley with this awesome scratch built grot bomber.  OST and myself had the privilege of asking mark what he used to build it to which he responded just some bits and plasticard!  Great work Mark.

Next we have Tom Halsup's Croc Butcher which blew me away when I handled the model for photographs I noticed that every scale is individually painted and highlighted all the way down to the fish that hangs on the models belt.  Great Job Tom!

Last but certainly not least we have Sam Richardson's incredible Cadian Command Squad.  The Solid clean color scheme and execution highlight a mastery of standard techniques accompanied by an extreme attention to detail all the way down to the treads on the boots of the models.  Sam really pulled out all the stops and took home the overall win for his tremendous effort.  Congratulations Sam!

Sam Richardson also entered this Valkyrie for large model and even though it did not take the first place spot I wanted to showcase it here with his winning entry to drive home the attention to detail that Sam has and give you a good look at one of the most impressive interiors I have ever seen for a vehicle!

  1. Great stuff and the winners really deserved it with the competition in the cases! When I handled some of the models for the photos, I just knew it was going to be a tough day for the actual judges!

  2. Did you guys happen to get more shots of the Valk? I'd like to see how his weathering was handled over the entire vehicle.

    Cheers,
