Taking stock and holding on....

As you all know, and as i hate to admit, it has been awhile since I have posted on the blog, a combination of inability to play much, combined with a new job that has me traveling from my home in Michigan to the area of Scranton, PA... have kept me busy to say the least.

However I was able to recently get a game in, and surprisingly not with my guard. Instead, using a list i had been messing around with once in a team game, I used my guard models to count as a Blood Angels list.

Twice now I have taken the time to play games with the BA and twice I have come out with a smile on my face, even though the first time i was kicked around real hard in the team game, and in my one v. one against CVinton, i barely pulled out a victory (only three models of my own left on the board, yay for ending on turn 5).

I wont go into the details of my list, but as a far cry from my Imperial Guard armies, it currently does not contain a single vehicle, in fact every model has a jump pack... I mean... the army is fun, fast and in your face assaulty!

This does not mean I am not going to give both Dark Eldar and Orks a serious look, in fact it makes me want to do so all the more. I still love my imperial guard, and will never give them up, and most likely will continue to play them in a competitive environment, but i have become bogged down in my painting and assembly of them, to the point where i am considering asking Cvinton to finish up my remaining heavy weapons teams (I still have 9 DKK left! Thats not counting the vehicles or the Cadian ones that could be done still! UGH!)

So, with that said, I would like to toss out to our lovely and amazing readers a hope to toss me some fun, themed lists for both Orks and Dark Eldar, so that I can see what those armies are about. Don't just toss me your super serious lists, toss me your wacky off the wall stuff that is TONS of fun.

Also, for the next month or so i will be traveling to Scranton, PA for work, and if anyone is from around there feel free to say so, perhaps we can meet up and say hello.

Until next time, burn some heretics, kill some mutants, and do it always....
