Quick post about the progress of my Night Lords. Until something comes out that will let me run them as they should be without being a total crap army, I'm using them as counts as Blood Angels. Here's their Land Raider, crucified marine as requested. Enjoy!
I saw a cool trim tutorial about making vehicles more chaos without just adding spikes or skulls. Thought I did add the spikes and skulls, adding the trim really put the finishing touches on it and set it apart from just being a landraider with with spikes.

And here is the whole reason, the dead marine. The Night Lords mocked him by covering him in purity seals. They didn't work very well huh...
This is magnetized on so I'm not going to end up breaking it off in transport and losing my mind.

ReplyDeleteGoing to have to try adding that extra detail to my Chaos LR myself when I get to it. The trim adds a lot of value to the model for sure.
Love the crucified BA marine as well.

I see it is missing the top half of the front hatch. How are you going to get that in there, and will it function as normal? I only ask because I have a LR I want to add a new detailed hatch, but it is all assembled and painted already.
ReplyDeleteI've always dreamed of having a painted interior but when it comes down to it I just get lazy. So I headed my self disappointment off before I even started down the path. I'm not going to have the door be able to open and close. I'm getting the night lords kit and plan on just cramming the door in. I know I'll have to trim some of the hinge tube...thing...off but I'm sure I can twist it in. If nothing else I can heat it up a bit to get it more pliable.

The books are awesome (Soul Hunter and Blood Reaver) and I've really found a chapter that finally has hit home after years and years of playing 3+ armor saves. It just so happens that the blood angels codex lines up with these guy's play style.
I love the crucified marine, suitably Night Lordy! Great idea with the purity seals, am going to have to raid the bitz box now...
