Conversion Bits and Mini from Puppetwarshop: Wulfen, Spores, Nurgle & more!

Old School here with a quick post about an Ebay seller and his cool miniatures and bit: The Puppetwarshop. Now, The first time I saw the artist's work, it was in the hands of Pusbelly, a local Nurgle Enthusiast, but then I caught a link in one of Col Shofer's microposts about this seller again today. When I saw a larger body of hi work, I just knew this seller would make a great GW alternative post.
So let's look at what we have here. The photo above is the Gentleman Plague Uglypapa model and the pic below is the non-gentleman version. Either way, I like the pose and the happy-go-lucky mood of the model. If you read the daemons codex, Papa Nurgle is rather cheerful and it seems like a fun little satire to have a GUO that looks like he is about to break into song like a Disney character.

Down below here we have this hideous little bear. Now Pusbelly (the local fellow I told you about earlier) has a small army of these modelled 3 each to 40mm bases and he is using them as little Nurgling bears. It is rather disturbing and hilarious at the same time. The bears have guts hanging out and biomechanical parts like buzzsaw hands too.

Next up is the Mycetic Spore counts as model. I have to say it is the first of its kind that I have seen with removable doors, something I have often wondered about since the standard "egg" method tend to build LOS blocking walls, which may or may not be cheaty considering the intent behind the actual entry.

Next up is the Wolf heads (which obviously would work as Wulfen conversions) and I think these actually beat the MaxMini heads and most others I have seen. I like them, though I prefer my wolves in the Counts As variety (I know, boo-hiss)

Now, this is the tip of the ice berg. If you want to see some awesome Chaotic biomechanical space marine heads, arms, torsos and legs or any of the other stuff this artist has for sale you will have to check out his Ebay storeand if you want to be privvy to the crazy world of Col Shofer and his mass micro posting, then check out his blog here.

What do you think of these minis and bits? Do you already have some and want to share a review or would you like to share your thoughts based on just what you see? Let's hear what you have to say!

  1. Wow. Those are friggin' sweet, man. I really like them.. all except the wolf helmets. They just don't feel right. Nice find, however. Might try to snipe some on my next paycheck.

  2. The website is pretty interesting - he's got a demonic assassin (DE counts-as..) too. I think the drop-pod detailing is fantastic, but I'm not a fan of the overall shape. Definitely some beautiful detailing, and modeled some aspects after the 'fex carapaces for some great consistency.

  3. That singing GUO looks great!

  4. GUO:
    "Hello ! ma Baby,
    Hello ! ma honey,
    Hello ! ma ragtime gal..."
