Old School here to help support the Craftworld Open Event hosted by SeerK. The event has been steadily filling up and if you want in, you may want to pre-register with SeerK soon! There are 14 spots open right now for some very fun 40k action and a chance at numerous prizes (including ones that don't include kicking ass on the tables). This event takes place on Sunday the 28th of October. To Pre-Reg, contact SeerK at Seerkarandras@gmail.com.
For first place winners, The Craftworlders have an awesome first prize. They have managed to secure a Dark Vengeance set as well as a Gamers Edition of the 40K rulebook. That's right, here is your chance for a Gamers edition set as well as a host of new models and a mini rulebook. From what I understand, the Craftworlders have also secured a vast amount of product from local game stores and will distribute that to first, second, third, players choice/ best painted ect.
For the missions, SeerK and the Craftworld Krew have decided to go with missions from the man rule book. They are decent and are multi tiered in terms of ways to score victory points. So here we go:
Mission 1
Deployment: Dawn of War ( 12 inch deployment zone along the long
table edge)
Mission: Purge The alien
1 VP is scored for each unit destroyed. Units in retreat or not on
the board are counted as destroyed at the end of the game.
Slay the warlord, First Blood and Line breaker are in effect. Night
fighting and reserves are also used.
Mission 2
Deployment: Classic table Quarters( table divided into quarters with
a 12 inch diameter no mans land in the center)
Mission: The Relic
3 VP's are scored for possession of the Relic at the end of the game.
Slay the Warlord, First Blood are in effect. Night fighting and
reserves are also in effect.
Mission 3
Deployment: Hammer and Anvil
Mission: Big Guns Never tire
set up d3+2 objectives. Each held objective is worth 3 VP's at the
end of the game. 1 VP is earned for each heavy support choice
destroyed.
Heavy support units count as scoring units.
Night fight and reserves rules are in effect.
I wish I could be there as it seems like SeerK has his hands in a convention sized 40k event that can really grow in the future, but the only way we can get there, is if you support it by coming out and throwing down on October 28th!
If anyone from Lansing wants to hitch a ride, Gibbs and I are driving down on Sunday morning.
ReplyDeleteGreat, now I can throw out all delusions of grandeur about winning ;)
