The Unforgiven: Sons of Caliban

Old School here with this weeks KP and the end of black armoured Thunder Hammer/ Storm Shield termies for the Death Wing. From here on out, it's all speeders, dreads, bonus white armored command squad extras, some shooty termies ... and some rhino chassis in DA Green. Any way, here are eight termies as my offering.

One of my favorite things about working in the old colors is just the ability to really add in the cheques and also how the weathering powders take to the black armor.

This group also contains most of my magnetic termies as well, so I may do a few lightning claw arms in the coming week with the other things I am painting.

If you are wondering where all the red paint came from in the background, don't worry, that's just evidence that I am still working on Hive Fleet Behemoth! The Swarmlord Cometh!

I have had a lot of fun with the Dark ANgels and look forward to finishing the army and picking up the nids to get back to flesh and carapace textures again.

That is it though for now, but I am sure more is on the way as Wolfson and I plot and toil in the basement here in Glen Burnie, so keep your eyes peeled for the latest projects and please, send us your work to post in the Painting Challenge!

Also, don't forget to check out our network page if you are not a member (it's in the tabs at the top of the page here) and check it out, we would love to help your voice be heard.

As always, comments are welcome!

  4. Looks good, but I might add a blue wash to those hammers to tone them down, they really draw the eye from the rest of the model

  5. I washed one on the first test model and it looked bad compared to the bright hammers. I prefer them since they catch the eye enough to draw people over to look at the army. Otherwise, they would just seem like "another black Space Marine army" to the casual glance.

  6. Hey dude those are really nice but I think the storm shields should be blue too, or at least have a blue hue to them to symbolise their energy field. sorry for making a bad comment dude, but that's my only criticism though. otherwise I think they're ace :-)
