Kabal of the Obsidian Rose

Hello Everyone,

    Wolfson here bringing you my recently completed Kabalite Warrior Squads from the Kabal of the Obsidian Rose.

I started off with a neutral grey base coast followed by 3 to 4 coats of a black red glaze until the model was a deep red almost black.  I followed this up with edge highlighting and extremely light drybrushing with mechrite red blood red and finally a Iyanden Dark Sun Solar Macharius Orange Mix using less paint and covering less area each time.

The bronze armor was achieved with a simple technique of boltgun Metal over black followed by a watered down dwarf bronze layer and finally badab black wash to achieve a soft bronze sheen.

All pouches and tabards are talarn flesh with ogryn flesh wash with some of the tabards speckled with red gore and varnish as  I wanted all of it to appear as freshly flayed skin.

I offset the aggressive red black and bronze colors with greens and blues to create a nice contrast followed by a neutral set of tones for the base with dead static grass.

20 infantry done is a good chunk of my webway list but its only just the start as OST and myself are currently in the monster lab converting up 10 absolutely disgusting grotesques.
