New Gamestore in Fowlerville, Michigan!

Cvinton and OST (and maybe more....looking at you mi40k) will be heading over to Game Links this Saturday to check the place out.

We don't have any kind of schedule of times set out but I hope to be there around 2pm and stay as late as the wifes phone calls will allow. R3con and Xerohack (not sure why I believe he's coming, I might have made it up) may be along too from the east coast and we'll have a preview of the DFG v. mi40k thunder-dome event planned for this summer.

Any how, when we get back, there will be a little write up and review of the store. I can only imagine it'll be a positive experience and really look forward to checking out new stores, whether newly opened or just new to me.

I can't tell too much from their website but it seems like they're trying to establish a miniatures base in games-workshop. Browsing around on their facebook page they seem to have some solid hordes/warmachine players and they're always good to upgrade to a real miniatures game. I just hope they have more than the 2 4x4 tables. We'll be back on Sunday to follow-up here!

  1. I, Lord Solar Steve, will be there as well as it is only a skip away from my home.

  3. Be aware that they are VERY new...opened in January, and while they have tons of space, they are short on terrain and boards. They have lots of 4x4s but no 6x4's.

In fact for Saturday MI40k is bringing our own tables and terrain. Thats just how we roll...

  4. Yes, I will be present. We need to get the details of the Showdown figured out so I can get to planning my DFG-stompin list.

  6. Hopefully there is enough of a market to sustain a store in that area. I know Heroquest in Howell closed last year.
Planes Walkers Magic Bag was located out in nowhere but essentially undersold everybody else to bring in the business but disappeared due to legal matters unrelated to business.

  9. Thanks for the interest in the store. So far business is going good and showing a strong enough market I should be here for a long time. Guys and Gals like all of you meeting, playing, using my store will help keep it alive. Thank you. On a side note, the like appears to be broken for some reason, have to talk to my web guys about that. Just use www.mirpg.com instead of the link posted here. Sorry about that.

  10. Why would they need 6x4 tables? Warmachine is played on 4x4.... :)

You guys going to swing by Evo later, or is this going to be the full gaming day?
