Chaos Obliterator/ Terminator Alternative Unboxed Part 2: The Bonnerfrom Hi-Tech

Old School here with the second part of a two-part series where I review the Carcass Virus Cult Terrorizers from Hi-Tech Miniatures. Last time we took a look at the Skinner and the Flesher models. This time, we will look at the third and final model in the trio - the Bonner.

The Bonner by far is my favorite of the three. It has a distinct re-breather mask with hoses and cabling all around the head area. The front of the robe has a string of skulls hanging down with the robes. If at any time, you can't see all this, click the photos to enlarge them. The arms are outstanding! There is a daenomic Cthulu style face on one side that appears to have the corrupted flesh of the arm puking from its mouth. The other arm bears a human face that has been peeled and stretched also puking the flesh out.

As we move to the back of the model, we see that there are two more decapitated heads hanging from the back, much like the other Terrorizers. There are also little mechandrites hanging down along with a spine of cable or tubing flanked by more corrupt flesh running up the back of the model. You can also see the other side of the arms as well.

From the side of the model, there are some mechanical looking 'ribs' and plenty of wiring and cables running across the models legs and armor. You can also see the full frontal detail of the arms here as well.

Overall, I am impressed with this model as I was with the two from Part 1 of this post. This model could easily stand in as an Obliterator or for a Terminator with some creative arm work and magnets. One could even create some Warpsmith type arms and call this model a warpsmith for their army with all the creepy mechandrites hanging on the legs.

I plan to use this model as a base for some Nurgle themed obliterators, as well as painting up a whole set for my Iron Warriors.

For more from Hi-Tech Miniatures, visit their Web site here where you can find the Terrorizers separate or in a package.

In any case, let's hear what you think of these models and the possibilities you can see for them. Also, if there are any projects you would like us to take a look at, let us know.

  1. How big are these guys compared to the normal GW Obliterators? Is the base size the same?

    1. Same base, same size. One of the three Terrorizers is about 1/8" taller, but otherwise they are just better looking versions.
