The Best Thunderwolf Counts-as/ GW Alternative Yet?

They are big, furry, saddled and have some augmetic limbs ... and best of all, they don't have helmets. I know that some of you may have seen these already, but for those of you who haven't, come take a look at the Thunderwolf alternative models that finally might take Mr. Dandy's Battle Wolves off the top of my list ...

The Rune Cast Wolves of Masquerade Miniatures are some no-crap, amazing looking Thunderwolf counts-as models. The augmetics on the howling wolf up top and the fierce look captured in the face of the wolf pictured directly above are awe-inspiring. I honestly have to say that these sculpts are better than the ones I fell in love with from Mr. Dandy. They are also large enough, standing at about 45mm at the shoulders and taking up their entire 60mm base ... but there are two differences that may of may not make the difference to YOU whether or not they top YOUR favorite T-wolves: They are a little more expensive that Dandy at 18 Euros or $24 a peice. That really isn't that bad, but fact number two is that they are white metal. Another peice of info that really doesn't make a huge difference to me, given the quality presented on their site, but for some people, metal sinks the whole deal.
Whether you want just one or five of these wolves, there are deals on Masquerades' web site, so check them out and take a look around there are plenty of busts and crazy little minis in their other lines.

Feedback is always welcome. What does it for you? Resin? Metal? Who makes your favorite Thunderwolves?

  6. Idk, troll face, they are standing on a dread base and are taller at the shoulder than a terminator. I really wish they had a model for comparison, but they are by no means small when you consider the base and height. I believe Dandy's wolves are also 45mm tall.

  9. I like these ones. I wouldn't really worry about looking like it has a save, as a lot of stuff doesn't look like it should have a save that it does.

Mr. Dandy's are nice, but dang $90. Good thing I don't really need these as I don't play wolf wolfs of the wolf using wolf wolfary and wolf of the wolf wolf psychic powers

  12. Mr. Dandy wolves are by far the best models & pocket friendly in the market. Don't get me wrong these are good looking models, however, the price & having to work with metal models will be a turn-off.
