Old School here to say Happy Birthday to the United States Marine Corps and to also say Happy Veterans Day to all those who served or do serve in any branch of the U.S. Military. It takes a certain breed of human being to run to the sound of gunfire and we salute those individuals today and it takes an even crazier breed to do so as a Marine.
Regardless of what branch you serve or have served in, we take this time to say thank you for your service. For my Marines out there (we know there is no such thing as a "former" Marine), Semper Fidelis, Brothers!
Regardless of whether or not you have ever served, I urge all of our readers to go out and thank a service member or veteran for their service. Buy them a beer, shake their hand or plant a flag upon their grave.
If you are a veteran or in the service now, sound off and be proud of your service today! Semper Fi!

ReplyDeleteThis is the day that means a lot to me, tomorrow isn't nearly as important as far as I'm concerned.
Unfortunately (or is it fortunately?) combat isn't the sole provence of the USMC, but I am truely grateful for those Marines that kept the taliban at bay on our western flanks!
