This list has been walked over by Dark Angels a lot lately, and I discovered yesterday how Berzerkers, even with Kharn, bounce off Plague Marines. The Land Raider is there to make sure what's inside gets into combat. 5 should suffice. The main reason I think Possessed are better now that in 5th is because the mark system is by per model, not some stupid icon holder. This means you're not penalized by taking a smaller unit. Take five, set them up with a killy Lord or Sorcerer then shove them down someone's throat with the Land Raider. They are at least comparable to a squad of Terminators in that sense, because they are just punch-catchers for the Lord anyways, while throwing out some wounds when they can. <br />About 155 -Lord<br />Mark of Something, Black Mace (or PF/PC), Sigil, Gift<br />About 150 -Possessed<br />Mark of Something<br />235 -Land Raider<br />Dirge Caster<br /><br />540... nothing crazy. I have struggled with this for as long as I've been playing, mostly because my NCUs have been traditionally TERRIBLE and/or too much of a points investment. The one that gives me the biggest headache is possessed. I have a nerd crush on t...Great article, thank you. I have a nerd crush on the Vindicator, so in my Nurgle list I run three, works well again coupled with PMs in rhinos for armour saturation and would work even better if I could face getting a Heldrake or two but I hate the models.<br /><br />The NCU (great acronym!) I have trouble with is the Helbrute. I like to run three in my Khorne army, mainly because I have three converted ones and they look cool. They are converted from AOBR models and so two have CCW, flamer and Multi melta, the third I usually run as PC and ML. <br /><br />So far I've been trying to compensate for their suckiness with an IG allied detachment using some permutation of my two Leman Russ Demolishers and LR Executioner.
