Screamerstar Council Herald #1, Part I

TJ here with a quick post. Again, I am in the field right now, so this is actually about a week old by the time it posts. In any case, unless you live in my house, this model will be new to you, so let's have a look at my screamer council's first herald.

The model is made from two different warhammer fantasy kits. The big ball of magic fire is from the Mutilith kit and the Herald himself is the ghoul king from the terrorgeist box (the kit that keeps on giving). I also plan to add some flames from the Burning Chariot box to fill in the back of the fire ball and to give the model some movement. From there, I will also add some of the finer hair bits from the terrorgeist kit to the arms of the Herald to simulate flames on select parts of his body.

I have never seen disk riding heralds done this way before and I am stoked to have some really cool models on the board representing them. I want to thank Pete for making this model possible by donating the giant ball (looking forward to seeing your new ultra marines, Pete).

Anyway, as always, I would love to hear what you think, so please lend me your feedback. One of the things I am debating is adding in some necron parts and maybe removing this model's head and replacing it with a menacing eye-globe or something similar. Let me know what you guys think.

  1. That's actually really awesome. Good choice.

  2. And I like most of his head. You could sculpt big cyclopian eye onto him because his mouth and ears are great.
I could see some select Necron parts added in there.

  3. Look awesome, although the strigoi needs some conversion work to be suitably chaotic...
